TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of their monster-collecting title Coromon, developer TRAGsoft is launching a roguelite spin-off, Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free). Scheduled for release next year on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android, this new game combines the original's turn-based combat with roguelite elements for enhanced replayability. The Steam page highlights 10 dynamic biomes, 7 playable characters, over 130 monsters, and more. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is free-to-play on mobile. It will be interesting to see how the mobile version of Coromon: Rogue Planet compares to the Steam and Switch releases, and whether they launch simultaneously. You can wishlist Coromon: Rogue Planet on Steam now. While I haven't played Coromon recently, Coromon: Rogue Planet's gameplay sounds more engaging. Based on the Steam screenshots, it appears ideally suited for quick play sessions. In the meantime, the original Coromon is available for free on iOS. What are your thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet so far, and have you played the original Coromon?
