Critical Role Star Robbie Daymond Joins Assassin

Renowned Critical Role actor Robbie Daymond is set to join Assassin's Creed Shadows next week as a new recruitable ally for protagonists Yasuke and Naoe. The performer will reprise his one-shot character Rufino - a Portuguese-inspired figure sporting an elaborate doublet and distinctive moustache.

New Recruitable Ally Arrives Wednesday

Rufino will become available in Shadows' June 25 update as the latest free post-launch story content. This follows Ubisoft's previous Dead by Daylight crossover mission in their ongoing support for the feudal Japan-set title.

While Shadows' additional missions have averaged around 20 minutes so far, Rufino's potential impact could be greater as one of only six recruitable allies in the game. Players eagerly await details on whether he'll offer combat assistance or even romantic possibilities like other companions.

Ubisoft Expands Shadows Experience

The June update brings more than just Rufino, introducing requested features like:

  • New difficulty options
  • Enhanced immersion settings
  • Open-world alert system
  • Toggle for headgear in cutscenes

Looking ahead, Ubisoft confirms plans for New Game Plus, additional story content, and this year's major Claws of Awaji expansion - which will extend Shadows' narrative and explorable regions of Japan.
