Following a minor leak earlier in the week, Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the title and developer behind its upcoming Star Wars game. Titled Star Wars: Zero Company, the game is being crafted by Bit Reactor, a newly-established strategy game studio comprised of industry veterans from titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. This project is also supported by Lucasfilm Games and Respawn Entertainment.

While details remain scarce, EA has confirmed that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a "single-player, turn-based tactics game." Fans eager for more insights won’t have to wait long, as the company plans to share an initial reveal during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.
Bit Reactor, founded in 2022, has been quietly developing this Star Wars project alongside Respawn Entertainment. However, the exact extent of Respawn’s involvement remains somewhat unclear. Recently, Respawn has faced several challenges, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars first-person shooter project last year and subsequent layoffs at EA. Additionally, a recent multiplayer FPS incubation effort was shelved just last month.
Fans can tune into a live panel on April 19 at 4:30 PM local time in Japan (which translates to 12:30 AM PT and 3:30 AM ET in the U.S.) to learn more about Star Wars: Zero Company. Set those alarms accordingly!
