According to Remedy's latest annual report, Control 2 has triumphantly passed its concept validation stage and is now in full production. This pivotal milestone marks a significant step forward, solidifying the project's progression in the development pipeline.

In addition to Control 2, two other exciting projects are currently in active development: FBC: Firebreak and the highly anticipated remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these titles were merely in the preparation phase, but they have now advanced to the next stage of development. However, the project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from Remedy's roadmap. It was canceled back in May of last year.

All these projects are being crafted using Remedy's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has already demonstrated its prowess in games like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy titles.

In terms of budget, Control 2 is set with an ambitious target of 50 million euros. This sequel will be self-published by Remedy and is slated for release on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC platforms. On the other hand, FBC: Firebreak comes with a slightly more modest budget of 30 million euros. This project will be accessible through PlayStation and Xbox subscription services upon its launch, and it will also be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The budget for the remakes of Max Payne 1+2 remains undisclosed, but it's confirmed that these will be AAA-level games. Both development and marketing costs are being fully covered by Rockstar Games, ensuring a high-quality revival of these iconic titles.
