GoldenEye enthusiasts, prepare yourselves — IO Interactive has officially confirmed their upcoming James Bond game will launch on Nintendo Switch 2.
As stated on IO Interactive's official website, Project 007 will feature a completely original narrative within the Bond universe.
"Players will embody the world's most famous secret agent as they work to earn their 00 status through Bond's first-ever origin story," explained the developers regarding the game's premise.
IO Interactive's Head of Studio Hakan Abrak previously revealed details about crafting this fresh origin story during an October interview with IGN. "The exciting aspect of this project is that we're creating an original narrative rather than adapting existing films," he explained.
"This marks the beginning of what we hope will develop into a major trilogy moving forward. Equally important, we're introducing a completely new Bond character specifically designed for gamers - one players can claim as their own and grow alongside throughout this gaming experience."
The release date remains unconfirmed at this time. You can review all announcements from today's Nintendo Direct here.
