This month, Pokémon Go welcomes its first two Galar-region Pokémon. Whether you’re drawn to adorable new faces or formidable power, there’s a sweet and fiery adventure ahead. Applin and its evolutionary line debut during the Sweet Discoveries event, while Dynamax Entei brings intense battles to the Max Battle Weekend.

Sweet Discoveries runs from April 24th to 29th, featuring the diminutive Dragon- and Grass-type Applin. Catching one is only the first step, as you’ll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 specific apples to evolve it. Use a Tart Apple to get Flapple, or a Sweet Apple for Appletun. These apples can be found randomly in the wild, particularly near Mossy Lure Modules, and may even trigger an Applin encounter.

Event wild spawns include Bounsweet, Skwovet, and the festive Delibird. Field Research tasks and Eggs provide additional chances to find themed Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Sweet and Tart Apples are also available through Timed Research, which has both free and paid tracks. The paid track offers extra Mossy Lure Modules and more encounters, including Applin.
