The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Shining Revelry, has introduced shiny variants that have added over 110 new cards to the game. This exciting update draws cards from the Paldea region, intensifying the excitement and making players eager to spend their Pack Hourglasses on 10-pack pulls. Personally, I couldn't resist and used a significant amount of my hard-earned currency to open ten packs, and was thrilled to pull a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less impressive. A highlight was getting the Pokémon Center Lady, whose ability to heal Special Conditions like Burn can be a game-changer during intense matches.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event where players can earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. The much-anticipated Ranked Matches are also now live, allowing players to compete against other Trainers and climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Points earned in these matches will be displayed, and at the end of the season—approximately one month from now—players will be awarded an emblem based on their performance. This feature has reignited my passion for the game, prompting me to start refining my deck-building skills once again.
