Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes

Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept in a completely new form: Project R.I.S.E.

The Full Story:

Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, Supercell isn't abandoning the idea entirely. Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite, will inherit the spirit of Clash Heroes, but with significant changes.

In a recent announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre confirmed the cancellation of Clash Heroes, but emphasized that Project R.I.S.E. remains firmly rooted in the Clash universe, with a key focus on multiplayer action RPG gameplay.

For a detailed overview, watch the announcement video:

Project R.I.S.E. will differ substantially from Clash Heroes. It's a completely new game, featuring three-player cooperative gameplay within a mysterious location known as The Tower. Each playthrough explores a different floor, with the objective of reaching the highest level possible. Unlike its predecessor's PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. prioritizes collaborative gameplay with a diverse roster of characters.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register for a chance to participate via the official website.
