In a thrilling move to mark Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom has teamed up with Digimon to launch the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition." This new take on the classic pocket-sized V-Pets device is designed with vibrant color schemes inspired by Rathalos and Zinogre from the Monster Hunter series. Priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.20 USD), these unique devices promise to bring the thrill of Monster Hunter into the world of Digimon.

The Monster Hunter 20th Digimon COLOR devices are packed with features to enhance your experience. They come equipped with a color LCD screen and use UV printer technology for a high-quality finish. A built-in rechargeable battery ensures you can play on the go, while customizable background designs add a personal touch to your device. One of the standout features is the "Cold Mode" mechanic, which allows you to temporarily pause your monsters' growth, hunger, and strength stats. Additionally, a backup system lets you save and restore your monsters and in-game progress, ensuring you never lose your hard-earned achievements.

Pre-orders for the Digital Monster COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition are currently open on Bandai's official Japan online store. Keep in mind, these are Japan-exclusive releases, which means additional shipping fees may apply if you're ordering from outside Japan.

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding a global release for the Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition. It's worth noting that the devices sold out just hours after the announcement, reflecting the high demand for this special edition. The first round of pre-orders will close today at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET). Stay tuned for updates on the second round of pre-order registrations, which will be shared on the Digimon Web Twitter (X) account. The anticipated release date for the 20th Edition is set for April 2025.
