Microsoft Announces Xbox Games Showcase 2025 in June, Featuring The Outer Worlds 2 Direct

Microsoft has exciting plans set for June 2025, with the announcement of the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 and a dedicated The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. As is tradition, Microsoft will use this June event to showcase upcoming Xbox games, scheduled to be livestreamed on Sunday, June 8, starting at 10am Pacific Time, 1pm Eastern Time, and 6pm UK time.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will highlight a range of upcoming titles from Microsoft's first-party studios, as well as exciting new games from third-party partners worldwide. This year's showcase promises to be a comprehensive look at what's on the horizon for Xbox gaming.

Following the success of previous focused events like the 2023 Starfield Direct and the 2024 Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct, this year's showcase will be followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. This event, hosted by Obsidian Entertainment, will dive deep into new gameplay, details, and developer insights for The Outer Worlds 2, a sequel to the acclaimed first-person sci-fi RPG. Given that The Outer Worlds 2 is slated for a 2025 release, it's likely that a release date will be announced during the showcase.
