Marvel Snap Goes Offline in the US along with Other Apps

Marvel Snap has been banned in the US, a move that coincides with the ban of popular app TikTok. The connection? Both are owned by ByteDance, currently under intense scrutiny from US lawmakers regarding national security and data privacy.

Why the US Ban on Marvel Snap?

This preemptive ban also affects Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and CapCut, all ByteDance properties. The company appears to have pulled these apps to avoid a wider crackdown.

While there's hope for TikTok's—and potentially these other apps’—eventual return, the impact on ByteDance is significant. The US market represents a substantial portion of their player base and revenue. A prolonged ban would be a considerable blow.

The future of Marvel Snap's availability in the US remains uncertain. For now, players outside the US can continue enjoying the game on the Google Play Store.
