August introduces Solvarch and Cassandra Nova as new playable Champions
The Rebirth Event kicks off on August 8th, offering 7-Star Champions as rewards
Act 8: The Rebirth and Summoners Fest bring high-stakes battles and fierce competition
July’s update put Human Torch in the spotlight, but Kabam isn’t letting the momentum fade. Marvel Contest of Champions is charging into August with a blistering new update featuring brand-new Champions, a villain-driven storyline, and intense quests built to challenge even the most experienced Summoners.
August brings not one, but two terrifying new adversaries to Marvel Contest of Champions. First is Solvarch, an Eidol capable of freezing enemies with a single touch and unleashing absorbed energy in devastating explosions. You’ll have your chance to claim Solvarch starting August 7th.
See how these characters stack up against the rest in our Marvel Contest of Champions tier list!
Then, on August 28th, Cassandra Nova enters the arena—a malevolent psychic force you may recognize from her recent role in Deadpool & Wolverine. As the dark reflection of Charles Xavier, she’s poised to plunge The Battlerealm into chaos.
But this villainous takeover doesn’t end with new characters. The Rebirth Event begins August 8th, resurrecting familiar foes with upgraded movesets and heightened difficulty. Earning Rebirth Tokens unlocks access to 7-Star Champions like Night Thrasher, Anti-Venom, and Doctor Voodoo—but act quickly, as the event concludes on September 3rd.
The new Crucible Chapter in Act 8: The Rebirth launches on August 13th and is here to stay. This eight-boss gauntlet introduces Elimination Choice Nodes, forcing you to choose your Champion with precision to survive. Newer players can also tackle the Act 8 Mini Crucible, specially balanced for 2- and 3-Star Champions.
Capping it all off is Summoners Fest, a realm-wide event tied to Seasons 30 and 31. Earn points, climb the leaderboard, and you could earn a spot in the Battlerealm Brawl Quarter Finals, happening November 8th in Vancouver.
