Magic: The Gathering - 2 New Cards from Aetherdrift

5 ImagesLet's dive into the details of these exciting new additions. First up is the Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature card that encapsulates the essence of the red-white color pairing in Aetherdrift. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, introduced in the 2018 Battlebond set, and emphasizes the use and piloting of vehicles. With a power of 3, it can crew vehicles on its own, and its activated ability allows it to create Pilot token creatures, making it a versatile choice for red-white decks in Aetherdrift drafts.

On the other hand, the rare card, Count on Luck, is a 3-mana enchantment that's as straightforward as its all-red-pip casting cost suggests. At the beginning of each of your turns, it exiles the top card of your library, allowing you to play it during that turn. This "impulse draw" mechanic provides a consistent flow of extra cards for your mono-red deck, as long as you can utilize them immediately. It's a strategic tool that encourages players to take risks and seize opportunities.

PlayAs a special treat, we're also showcasing Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended-art version offers a wider view by removing the card frame on the sides of the art box, the First-Place Foils are a brand new feature in Aetherdrift. These dazzling golden cards are exclusively available in a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box, featuring all the rares and 10 full-art lands in this unique treatment.

Mark your calendars, as Aetherdrift races onto the scene on February 14, with prereleases starting on February 7. To delve deeper into the set's mechanics, be sure to check out the detailed information available online.
