Lightcrystal Acquisition Guide in Monster Hunter Wilds

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, slaying and capturing monsters is just part of the adventure. To craft top-tier armor and weapons, you'll also need to gather essential materials like Lightcrystals. Here’s your guide on how to efficiently farm Lightcrystals in the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations

Lightcrystals are primarily sourced from Mining Outcrops scattered across various regions in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Keep in mind that obtaining them can be quite random, so patience is key. Here are the prime spots to hit up:

  • Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
  • Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
  • Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
  • Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5

After you've mined a spot, it will take about 15 to 20 minutes for the Mining Outcrops to respawn. Use this time to explore other areas and gather different resources before circling back to your Lightcrystal spots.

How to Use Lightcrystals

Once you've gathered enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. She'll help you forge or upgrade the following pieces of equipment using your Lightcrystals:

  • Guild Knight Sabers I
  • Dragon Perforator II
  • Dual Hatchets II
  • Triple Bayonet II
  • Iron Assault II
  • Iron Gale II
  • Chain Blitz II
  • Iron Accelerator II
  • Hyperguard II
  • Buster Sword II
  • Iron Hammer II
  • Metal Bagpipe II
  • Chrome Drill II
  • Iron Katana II
  • Iron Beater II
  • Ingot Vambraces
  • Thunder Charm III

Note that while these items are useful, many will be quickly outclassed by better gear. So, keep an eye out for upgrades and don't get too attached to your current equipment.

That covers everything you need to know about farming and using Lightcrystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and detailed information, including a full list of armor sets, be sure to check out The Escapist.
