Krysten Ritter Confirmed to Reprise Jessica Jones Role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Krysten Ritter is set to reprise her role as Jessica Jones in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. The announcement came during the Disney Upfront presentation in New York, confirming months of speculation and rumors about the return of Netflix's Defenders to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Ritter, alongside Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, shared her enthusiasm about returning to the character. "It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU," Ritter stated. "I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!"

As Netflix's partnership with Marvel began to dissolve, the future of these characters seemed uncertain until Disney regained the rights in 2021.

With Cox returning for a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and starring in his own Disney+ series, the door opened for other Netflix heroes to make their MCU debut. The success of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, which featured The Punisher prominently, paved the way for Ritter's return in Season 2.

Ritter last portrayed Jessica Jones in the third season of her solo series, which aired in 2019. Her comments at the upfront event hint at further involvement in the MCU, but fans can look forward to seeing her in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, slated for release in March 2026 according to showrunner Dario Scardapane.
