The Nintendo Switch 2 will have distinct pricing for Japan and global markets. Discover the details of the pricing structure for different versions.
Japan’s Switch 2 Costs Less Than Global Edition
Switch 2 Offers Two Language-Based Versions

The Nintendo Switch 2 will feature varied pricing in Japan and worldwide. It will come in two versions: a Japanese-language model exclusive to Japan and a Multi-Language model. The Japanese version is priced at approximately $330, while the Multi-Language version costs $449.99, a difference exceeding $100. This gap stems from the yen’s weakness against the USD, reducing incentives for tourists to buy in Japan.
Residents in Japan can opt for the Multi-Language version, but the Japanese-language model is sold only in Japan and requires a Nintendo Account set to Japan. This version supports only Japanese and is limited to software available on the Japan-region Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo urges fans seeking other language options to choose the Multi-Language version. Further details on this version will be announced on April 4.
