Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for the eagerly awaited Disney+ series, Ironheart, featuring Dominique Thorne reprising her role as the armored superhero Riri Williams from 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The series introduces Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood, who appears to be a pivotal figure in Riri's journey to becoming a standalone superhero within the MCU.
The trailer suggests a complex dynamic between Riri and The Hood, with the latter initially portrayed as a mentor figure but with hints of ulterior motives. Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere its first three episodes on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+.Riri Williams reflects on her experiences in Wakanda as an "internship abroad," which leads to her expulsion from MIT. This event catalyzes The Hood's challenge to her: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up as Ironheart, flying, and engaging in combat, culminating in a dramatic scene where she punches a truck, sending it soaring over her head.
