Nintendo is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new store in San Francisco today, May 15, located at 331 Powell Street in Union Square. This marks the second official Nintendo store in the United States, following the success of their New York location, which underwent renovations and rebranding from Nintendo World Store to Nintendo NY before reopening in 2016.

IGN had the opportunity to visit the San Francisco store and explore what Nintendo has in store for its fans. Additionally, we had an exclusive interview with Nintendo of America's president, Doug Bowser, who shared insights on why Nintendo chose this moment to open their first West Coast store.
