Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes. Expect a revamped minion lineup, flashy new tech, and a cosmic theme that completely reimagines Bob's Tavern.

Goodbye Trinkets, Hello Tokens: Trinkets are being retired, making way for Battlegrounds Tokens. These allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable choices.

Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The new season's heroes and minions are being revealed in stages:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.

Three New Heroes: Three brand-new heroes are joining the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability.

Minion Pool Overhaul: Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or leaving the game, significantly altering strategies.

Solo Mode Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap is being introduced for solo Battlegrounds: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

Phased Minion Release: Minions will be added to the pool in phases after launch:
- December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs.
- December 5th: Murlocs and Demons.
- December 9th: Undead and Elementals.
