Its function remains consistent across game updates: it reveals the ghost's current favored room on the map. The Haunted Mirror typically appears hanging on a wall (like in 6 Tanglewood Drive) or on the floor in a predetermined location. Cursed Objects always spawn in the same spot on each map; the randomness lies in which Cursed Object appears.

To use it, pick up the mirror and interact with it (using the appropriate button on your mouse or controller). The reflection displays the ghost's current haunt. However, on Professional difficulty and above, remember that the ghost's location can shift after a time.
