Hasbro Unveils G.I. Joe Cold Slither Heavy Metal Box Set

IGN has an exciting exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest addition to the G.I. Joe Classified line, and it's truly remarkable. This new box set showcases the notorious Cobra villain Zartan and his Dreadnoks crew, transformed into the heavy metal band Cold Slither. Drawing inspiration from a classic episode of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, this set is poised to be a must-have collectible, available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con this summer.

The Cold Slither set features 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, all styled for their Band of Vipers World Tour concert. Accompanied by an impressive array of 29 accessories, including a guitar, bass, keytar, and a drum set, the set captures the essence of the band. Even the packaging replicates the Springfield Theater, adding to the nostalgic appeal.

This exclusive set will be available at San Diego Comic-Con, taking place from July 24-27, 2025. Following the event, limited quantities will be offered on the Hasbro Pulse website.

For fans of a more vintage G.I. Joe aesthetic, Hasbro is collaborating with Super7 to release the Cold Slither Zartan in the ReAction+ line. This 3.75-inch figure, modeled after the classic A Real American Hero toys, features O-Ring construction and vintage-style packaging. It glows in the dark under UV light and comes with microphone and guitar accessories. Priced at $20, it will be available for preorder on the Super7 website starting April 3 at 9:15am PT.
