Gothic 1 Remake Demo Now Available on Steam

In celebration of the release of the *Gothic 1 Remake* demo titled "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a dedicated trailer to introduce players to the updated vision of this classic RPG. While the original *Gothic* allowed players to step into the boots of the iconic Nameless Hero, the remake introduces a new protagonist—Nyras, a prisoner navigating the brutal world of Khorinis. Despite this change in identity, the core objective remains unchanged: survival in one of gaming’s most unforgiving environments.

The *Gothic Remake* demo launched as part of the Steam Next Fest event and has already made waves by setting a new record for concurrent players across all titles in the franchise. This early success highlights the enduring popularity of the series and the excitement surrounding its modern revival.

The "Nyras Prologue" showcases the game's upgraded visuals, refined animations, and a completely reimagined combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5.
