Get ready, *God of War Ragnarök* players! Sony and Santa Monica Studio are unleashing the Dark Odyssey collection, a free update arriving next week, March 20th, boasting a suite of in-game cosmetic items inspired by one of the franchise's most iconic outfits. This update is part of Sony's broader celebration of the *God of War* franchise's 20th anniversary, detailed in a recent PlayStation Blog post.
The Dark Odyssey collection features a sleek black-and-gold aesthetic, giving Kratos, Atreus, and Freya stunning new looks. The update includes cosmetic sets for all three characters, along with matching appearances and attachments for various weapons and shields. The highlight? A Kratos appearance and armor set directly inspired by the God Mode reward from *God of War II*—a highly sought-after cosmetic for many fans. This content can be claimed from any Lost Items chest in the main game or instantly within Ragnarök's Valhalla mode.
A significant addition is the ability to customize Kratos' weapon appearances independently of their abilities, a feature long requested by players.
