Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Leaks Reveal New Dendro DPS Character
Recent leaks surrounding Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.0 update have unveiled details about a new five-star Dendro DPS character. This highly anticipated update will introduce the Natlan region, the Pyro nation known for its warrior culture and ruled by the Pyro Archon, Murata (also known as the God of War). The addition of Natlan promises a wealth of new content, including environments, characters, weapons, and storylines.
A prominent leaker, Uncle K, has shared information about the new Dendro character. This Claymore-wielding male character will be unique as the first five-star Dendro Claymore user. His abilities will center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions. Bloom, created by combining Dendro and Hydro, produces explosive Dendro Cores. Burning, a simpler reaction combining Dendro and Pyro, inflicts a damage-over-time (DoT) effect.
Community Concerns Regarding Burning Reaction
The reliance on the Burning reaction has raised some concerns among players. Burning is generally considered a weaker Dendro reaction compared to others. This contrasts with the recently announced five-star Dendro support character, Emilie, arriving in update 4.8. Initially designed around Burning, Emilie has reportedly received buffs to enhance her versatility and compatibility with various team compositions.
Future Character Introductions
While the Natlan Pyro Archon is confirmed for future release, the exact timing remains unclear. HoYoverse may reveal more Natlan characters during the Special Program event for update 4.8, anticipated around July 5th.
Further leaks point to Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger, as the primary antagonist of the Natlan arc. This powerful Cryo user is speculated to become a playable character sometime in 2025.
