People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop a new game, codenamed Project Delta. The agreement, detailed in a report from People Can Fly, designates Project Delta as a work-for-hire title, though specifics about the project remain undisclosed.

This new project joins a roster of other games currently in development at People Can Fly, each bearing a similarly cryptic codename. These include Project Gemini (a collaboration with Square Enix, which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo (with Krafton), Project Red (potentially also with Sony), and the recently announced VR Project Bison—which People Can Fly confirmed will be its final VR endeavor.

The studio recently announced the suspension of Project Victoria and scaled back development on Project Bifrost. Earlier this year, Project Dagger, an action-adventure title partnered with Take-Two Interactive, was cancelled.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly still has eight known projects underway, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day developed in partnership with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix collaboration, is currently slated for a 2026 release.
