Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Launches Feb 21 with Mortal Kombat Crossover

Epic Games has officially unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, titled "Wanted." This season, set to launch on February 21, dives into a thrilling heist theme, complete with gun-toting villains, gold-filled vans, and explosive bank vaults, promising an action-packed experience for players.

A highlight of the season is the collaboration with the iconic fighting game series, Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to Sub-Zero joining the Battle Pass, seamlessly integrating the heist theme into the skins. This partnership also aligns with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

The new skins will be available for purchase using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the standard pricing.

Confirmed returning items include the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. Speculation is rife among the community about other potential returns from the previous heist-themed season, Chapter 4 Season 4, such as the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and the Grappler. However, these remain unconfirmed rumors at this point.

A much-anticipated new feature is Smart Building, which intelligently predicts the structure you need based on your aiming direction, enhancing the building mechanics of the game.

The season introduces a revamped gameplay mechanic, shifting from keycards to vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's equivalent of thermite, to crack open vaults and secure their rewards, adding a fresh twist to the heist gameplay.
