China Miéville's Perdido Street Station stands as one of the most celebrated fantasy novels of recent decades, renowned for its bold contributions to the "weird fiction" genre. Given its cultural significance, it comes as no surprise that The Folio Society—a publisher known for its exquisite hardcover editions—has chosen this masterpiece for inclusion in their prestigious collection.
To mark the book's 25th anniversary, The Folio Society is releasing a lavish 707-page hardcover edition of Perdido Street Station. This special edition features a new afterword penned by Miéville himself, along with a stunning set of illustrations created by acclaimed artist Doug Bell. Bell's artwork comprises eight black-and-white chapter-opening images, twelve vibrant full-color illustrations, and an intricate map of New Crobuzon, the novel's iconic setting.
