The Northern Expedition update in Fisch introduces a challenging mountain climb and a rewarding puzzle. Conquering the summit unlocks the powerful Heaven's Rod (1,750,000 C$), but obtaining it requires finding the elusive Red Energy Crystal. This guide details the locations of all five buttons needed to unlock this crystal.

Northern Summit Buttons Puzzle Explained

Four Energy Crystals are scattered throughout the Northern Summit. Locating these three unlocks a puzzle at the mountain's peak. However, the final piece, the Red Energy Crystal, requires solving an additional puzzle. After finding the first three crystals, speak with the NPC in the Glacial Grotto. They'll direct you to find five hidden buttons across different islands. Pressing all five unlocks the Red Crystal.

All Button Locations To Unlock The Red Crystal

Finding the Red Energy Crystal involves visiting five specific locations in Fisch:

Moosewood Island Button Location

This button is easily found behind the leaderboard near the island's pier. It's located near ground level.

Roslit Bay Button Location

Head inland from the Roslit Bay pier. Near the campsite, you'll find the Angler NPC. The button is hidden amongst the logs on the ground nearby.

Forsaken Shores Button Location

On Forsaken Shores, navigate to the watchtowers on the right side of the island. A red glow will help you locate the correct tower. The button is inside the watchtower closest to the pier.

Snowcap Island Button Location

This button is well-concealed. Travel to Upper Snowcap and find the Wilson NPC. The button is located on the wooden fence next to him.

Ancient Isle Button Location

The final button is situated on the side of the unfinished lighthouse on Ancient Isle.

Once all five buttons are pressed, return to the Glacial Grotto and speak with the NPC again. This will open the path to the Red Energy Crystal.
