The ongoing informal competition among gacha games continues to intensify. Recent financial data from February 2025 shows a dip in revenue for some of the industry's top titles, including Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. Gacha game enthusiasts are closely monitoring these financial trends to stay informed about the genre's dynamics.

miHoYo, also known as HoYoverse, manages three major projects, all of which saw a decline in earnings during this period. Honkai Star Rail secured the fourth spot with revenues dropping from $50.8 million to $46.5 million. Genshin Impact, ranking sixth, experienced a significant decrease from over $99 million to $26.3 million, following a spike attributed to the Mavuika banner event. Zenless Zone Zero came in eighth, with earnings falling from $26.3 million to $17.9 million. However, fans can anticipate a revenue boost soon, as updates introducing new characters are slated for release in Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Honkai Star Rail.

In February 2025, the top-earning gacha game was Pokemon TCG Pocket, amassing $79 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace followed in second place with $49.5 million, and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle rounded out the top three with $47 million.
