Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that FBC: Firebreak, a highly anticipated multiplayer PvE experience set within the Control universe, will release on June 17, 2025. Priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99, the game will launch across PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, it will be available on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium tiers).

For those looking to enhance their experience, the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition is available for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99, offering exclusive cosmetics, premium voice packs, and additional content. Base game owners can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7.

Key Features
FBC: Firebreak introduces a novel system called "Requisitions," which rewards players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. These items, ranging from weapons and equipment to sprays and armor sets, are unlocked using in-game currency earned through gameplay. Importantly, there are no limited-time windows or rotating stores—everything remains permanently available.
For players seeking additional customization options, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items such as armor sets, voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. These items can be purchased with real money but are purely aesthetic and have no impact on gameplay.
Post-Launch Support
Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to release two new Jobs (missions) in 2025 and additional updates in 2026. All playable content released after launch will be free for all players, while cosmetics will remain optional purchases. Importantly, Remedy has emphasized that there will be no limited-time rotations or daily login requirements.
Developer's Upcoming Projects
This announcement comes amidst an exciting period for Remedy, as the studio works on multiple high-profile titles. In addition to FBC: Firebreak, Remedy is developing Control 2 and a remake of the classic Max Payne and Max Payne 2 games.
