Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

In the gripping cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive amidst the lurking monsters that spawn unpredictably across each location. Successfully escaping with your loot not only challenges your survival skills but also rewards you handsomely. The menacing AI Taxman oversees your earnings, allowing you to stock up on essential survival gear with your hard-earned cash.

Securing the removal of these valuable items hinges on reaching the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman permits you to proceed to the Service Station—hopefully with a hefty sum to spend on upgrades and supplies.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, mastering the extraction process becomes second nature. What might initially appear daunting soon evolves into a routine as you conquer more levels and face increasingly fearsome monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. However, as you progress and move to new locations, this number can increase, peaking at a maximum of four. You can monitor your progress by checking the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which indicates the total number of drop-offs required and how many you've already completed.

At the start of each level, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck—a constant you can rely on for your first haul. After that initial drop-off, navigating the rest of the level becomes more challenging. You won't know the Taxman's demands or the location of the next Extraction Point until you're closer.

This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, helping you plan your routes and, if playing with others, coordinate your efforts to cover more ground simultaneously.

You'll discover the next Extraction Point either visually or by following the sound cues. Once located, press the conspicuous red button to learn your fate and whether you've gathered enough valuables. If successful, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure none of your items are destroyed.

After completing the required number of Extraction Points, you'll either move on to the next one or focus on safely returning to your truck. Importantly, after the final point is found and your valuables are counted, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck with you; a new one will be available at the next location or level.
