- Loop Hero delivers a compelling roguelike experience while Chuchel offers surreal humor
Many mobile gamers might not realize that the Epic Games Store's mobile platform mirrors its PC counterpart by offering limited-time free games. The mobile version actually sweetens the deal - instead of monthly freebies, you get weekly giveaways, and two games instead of one!
For the final week of April, Epic is offering two excellent free titles: Loop Hero and Chuchel. Regular readers will instantly recognize Loop Hero as one of our team favorites here at Pocket Gamer - Jack previously gave it a stellar review. This captivating roguelike is absolutely worth your time if you only choose one game from this pair.
So what about Chuchel? This quirky animated adventure follows the main character Chuchel on his quest to retrieve his stolen cherry. Along the journey, Chuchel and his rival Kekel find themselves in increasingly bizarre and comical scenarios that players must either solve or simply enjoy watching unfold.
Free Gaming Goodness While some of our App Army found Chuchel puzzling during their initial review, they still enjoyed the experience. And when something's completely free, it's hard to pass up even if it's outside your usual gaming preferences. Loop Hero, however, comes highly recommended for its strategic depth and gorgeous retro pixel art style.
The mobile version of Epic Games Store brings many PC benefits to your phone, including these weekly free games and access to mobile-exclusive titles like Fortnite.
