Dragonkin: The Banished Unveils Demo and Major Updates

Eko Software and NACON have unveiled a demo and detailed a robust roadmap for the early access phase of their thrilling RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished. The early access version, set to launch on March 6, 2025, will include the game's prologue and first chapter, allowing players to dive into the narrative through the eyes of three distinct heroes: the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian. Alongside these characters, players can team up with four Vermplings—loyal cooperative companions that join the fight—and explore the innovative Bloodline Grid skill progression system. Early access will also feature endgame hunting quests and initial enhancements to the central hub city. The demo is available to play now through March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest.

The development team at Eko Software has ambitious plans for the coming year. Spring updates will bring new abilities, enriched endgame content, a novel endgame activity, and improved features for the hub city. Summer will see the introduction of a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. By autumn, the game will roll out multiplayer support, along with continued enhancements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city mechanics.

In Dragonkin: The Banished, players immerse themselves in a world tainted by ancient dragon blood, embarking on a legendary warrior's quest to defeat malevolent creatures emerging from the earth and challenge the formidable Dragonlords behind the chaos. Progression is driven by character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution, with the strategic Bloodline Grid system offering players a way to tailor their abilities to their playstyle.

Dragonkin: The Banished will enter Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release targeted for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
