In the spine-chilling world of *Phasmophobia*, mastering the use of Cursed Objects can significantly enhance your ghost-hunting adventures. These objects, also known as Cursed Possessions, are randomly scattered across the maps you explore, depending on your chosen game mode and settings. To harness their power, you need to locate them on the map and activate them. However, while the equipment in your van is purely beneficial, Cursed Objects offer powerful abilities with significant risks attached.

What Is a Cursed Object in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Objects are unique items that can drastically alter your investigation. They allow you to perform actions like instantly locating the ghost's favorite room or enhancing your party's abilities. However, these advantages come at a cost, often leading to significant sanity loss, temporary blindness, or triggering a "cursed" hunt. These hunts are particularly dangerous as they ignore your current sanity level and can occur even immediately after another hunt, lasting 20 seconds longer than regular hunts. It's wise to use these objects judiciously, as they might not spawn at higher difficulty levels or in Challenge Mode.

Best Cursed Objects to Use in Phasmophobia

When deciding which Cursed Objects to use, consider those that offer the highest benefits with the least risk. Here are some of the best options based on their utility and safety:

Haunted Mirror

The Haunted Mirror is the safest and most beneficial Cursed Object to use. It reveals the ghost's current favorite room/area, allowing you to quickly locate the ghost and set up your equipment efficiently. Just remember to use it sparingly to avoid a significant sanity drop and the risk of triggering a Cursed Hunt if the mirror shatters.

Ouija Board

The Ouija Board, the first Cursed Object introduced in *Phasmophobia*, is reliable for directly communicating with the ghost. It can reveal the ghost's location and even the bone's spawn point, which is crucial for achieving a "Perfect Investigation" bonus. Use it carefully to avoid triggering a Cursed Hunt.

Voodoo Doll
