In "For Whom the Bell Tolls," a central quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, Hans requires your assistance once more, this time at Trosky Castle. Your mission involves using alchemy to create a Fever Tonic, which is essential for saving someone. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain the recipe and brew the Fever Tonic.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Fever Tonic Recipe Location
If you prefer not to sneak, you can progress through the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" quest by delivering a horseshoe. After this, return to the forge and speak with Cook Fanka. If you agree to help her with her locked chest, she will lead you to the noble's kitchen. Upon entering, you'll find the chamberlain in distress. Engage him in conversation about his health and pass the necessary skill checks to earn his trust and access to the Surgeon's Workshop. Should you craft and bring both a digestive potion and the Fever Tonic to the chamberlain, he will allow you to meet Thomas.
How to Brew Fever Tonic
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add 3 handfuls of Feverfew.
- Lower the cauldron and boil for 2 turns of the sandglass.
- Grind a handful of Elderberry Leaves using the mortar and pestle.
- Add the ground Elderberry Leaves to the mixture.
- Add 2 handfuls of Ginger.
- Retrieve a phial from the bottom left shelf of the station, located beneath the wine.
- Distill the tonic using the Still.
Don't worry if you don't succeed on your first attempt; you have ample herbs available, and additional supplies can be found in the chest within the room. Given your previous experience with potion-making, crafting the Fever Tonic should be manageable.
Once you've brewed the Fever Tonic, you need to reach Thomas. If you've earned the chamberlain's trust by providing him with a digestive potion, return to him with both potions. Otherwise, use the noble's kitchen to sneak up to the chapel and find Thomas and his sister, Adele. Conversing with Adele will conclude the quest.
