Black Myth: Wukong Leaked Ahead of Release
Producer Advises Players to Prevent Further Circulation of Leaked Content
With just days remaining until the launch of Black Myth: Wukong, leaked content has started circulating online. The hashtag "Black Myth Wukong Leak" quickly gained popularity on the Chinese social media platform Weibo on Wednesday, following the unauthorized posting of videos featuring unreleased game content.
In response to the leak, producer Feng Ji took to Weibo to communicate with fans about the issue of spoilers. In his post, which was translated via machine translation, Feng highlighted that spoilers can significantly diminish the excitement and sense of discovery that Black Myth: Wukong aims to provide. He emphasized that the game's allure is deeply rooted in players' "curiosity."
Feng also appealed to players to respect the game's element of surprise by refraining from watching and sharing the leaked content. He stated, "If a friend around you clearly says that they don't want to be spoiled about the game, please help protect them." He expressed confidence that, despite any prior exposure to leaked content, "Black Myth: Wukong will still deliver on the unique experiences it has in store."
The game is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled to launch on August 20, 2024, at 10 AM UTC+8 on PS5, Steam, Epic Games Store, and WeGame.
