Wizards of the Coast made a splash at MagicCon Las Vegas 2025 by unveiling its exciting new collaboration between Magic: The Gathering (MTG) and *Avatar: The Last Airbender*. During the event, fans got an exclusive first look at the stunning artwork and unique abilities featured on the upcoming Avatar Aang and Aang, Master of Elements cards.
Aang’s debut into the MTG multiverse was accompanied by a time-lapse showcasing how the beautiful, hand-drawn art for the cards was brought to life. The first card introduced is the versatile Avatar Aang, a Legendary Creature – Human Avatar Ally. This powerful ally has an intriguing ability: “Whenever you waterbend, earthbend, firebend, or airbend, draw a card. Then, if you’ve done all four this turn, transform Avatar Aang.”

The second card, Aang, Master of Elements, is a more cosmic take on the beloved character. While Avatar Aang represents his full Avatar state, this version shows Aang tapping into his elemental power in a different way. Its effect reads, “At the beginning of each upkeep, you may transform Aang, Master of Elements. If you do, you gain 4 life, draw four cards, put four +1/+1 counters on him, and he deals 4 damage to each opponent.”
More details about the *Magic: The Gathering* x *Avatar: The Last Airbender* collaboration will be revealed on August 12, 2025. The full set is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, offering fans a rich blend of storytelling and gameplay inspired by both universes.
Each MTG crossover marks a significant milestone for Wizards of the Coast and collectors alike. The most recent collaboration brought iconic characters and locations from the *Final Fantasy* universe into the game, including appearances from Cloud, Moogles, Tidus, Sephiroth, Noctis, and more. The popularity of the set has been so overwhelming that many cards have experienced substantial price increases.
