After rolling the credits in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll find that the vast world of Feudal Japan remains open for exploration. The game's rich side content, including numerous quests and activities, remains accessible, allowing you to delve deeper into the world and complete any unfinished tasks. Moreover, post-launch, Ubisoft plans to introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to engage with.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Completing the main storyline doesn't necessarily mean you've seen everything Assassin’s Creed Shadows has to offer. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, as well as the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you'll need to finish the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.

Additionally, towards the end of the game, you can unlock exclusive gear sets for Naoe and Yasuke, themed around the Assassins and Templars, respectively. These sets not only enhance each protagonist's unique play style with specific perks but also offer designs that will resonate with long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series. Even after the credits, players can continue to level up until reaching the game's maximum level cap.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the journey doesn't end there. Ubisoft plans to enrich the game with new content through the Animus, including fresh challenges and possibly new items in the store. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, promising over 10 hours of additional content on the new Island of Awaji.
