The unique RPG adventure management game, *The Tale of Food*, where players commanded an army of personified food characters, is sadly coming to an end. Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and distributed by Tencent Games, this game has captured the hearts of many. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming shutdown of *The Tale of Food*.

When Is the The Tale of Food Shutdown?

*The Tale of Food* will officially cease operations on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of today, February 18th, 2025, in-game purchases have been disabled. Additionally, the game is no longer accepting new registrations, and it has been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if you've already downloaded the game, you can continue to play until the servers close on March 20th.

What About the Jewels Collected in the Game?

If you purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you're eligible for a refund. You can request your refund through in-game support or by emailing the developers before the shutdown date on March 20th. It's worth noting that the Japan server for *The Tale of Food* was shut down in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, it's the global version's turn to say goodbye.
