Little Bee

This educational app, "KCNK Little Bee," developed by Bazzle Amusement for ages 4-9, helps children improve their spelling skills. Sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU), and created for the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston's spelling bee, the app offers three engaging modes, each with ten levels of increasing difficulty. Over 150 words are included, with 15 or more words per level. The app works offline.

Gameplay Modes:

• Learning Mode 1: Children learn to spell words letter by letter, with audio pronunciation of each letter. Mistakes are easily corrected, and the word can be replayed with a tap on the bee icon. Completion of each level requires correctly spelling all words.

• Learning Mode 2: Words are presented with jumbled letters. Children must unscramble the letters to spell the word correctly. Similar to Mode 1, mistakes can be undone, words can be replayed, and level completion requires accurate spelling.

• Competition Mode: This mode adds a timed challenge. Children are given jumbled words with extra letters, and must spell the correct word under a time constraint. Ten random words are presented per level, with total time tracked on a leaderboard.

Features:

The app allows students to input their name, age, parish, and school. The leaderboard displays level completion times. The game can be reset at any time. Parents and teachers can easily share leaderboard screenshots.
