Hanoi 12 Days and Nights

1972 Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu Air Victory – Operation Linebacker II

Hanoi 12 Days and Nights is a game developed by Pirex Games. This revolutionary title recreates a portion of the "Dien Bien Phu in the air" battle—a fierce defense by the people of Hanoi against the US imperialists' massive B-52 bombing campaign. By late December 1972, the US government was compelled to sign the Paris Agreement, restoring peace to North Vietnam.

Known on the US side as Operation Linebacker II, the campaign was also referred to as "Dien Bien Phu in the air." It marked the final major US military operation against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War, conducted from December 18 to December 30, 1972, after peace talks in Paris broke down due to disagreements between the two sides.
