Squares: The Daily Word Strand Puzzle Challenge!

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word strand puzzle and strategy game where players connect letters on a grid to form words and complete squares. The goal is to uncover all words and rack up the highest score possible.

How to Play:

Connect letters in any direction – up, down, left, right, or diagonally – to create words. Find all the words hidden within the letter grid to earn points.

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Earn 1 point for each letter in a word (minimum 4 letters). A five-letter word earns 5 points.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Word Restrictions: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, vulgar terms, and uncommon words are excluded.

Bonus Words & Challenges:

• Bonus Words: Discover obscure, archaic, or slang terms for bonus points. These words don't contribute to your main score but appear in a separate list. You can continue searching for them even after finding all the main words.
• Word of the Day: Each puzzle includes a special, often lengthy bonus word. Finding it rewards you with two extra hints!

Gameplay Features:

• Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available every day at midnight.
• Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right to gain a fresh perspective and potentially uncover hidden words.
• Hints: After finding 40% of the words, a hint system activates, displaying a number on each letter indicating how many words begin with that letter (0 indicates no words start with that letter). Letters turning orange indicate they've been used in the main words but might still be in bonus words. Each puzzle offers 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon), revealing the first letter and search direction of a random word. Sharing the game link with friends grants an extra hint!
