Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has officially announced exciting updates coming to Teardown, the critically acclaimed sandbox game. Among the revelations is the introduction of a brand-new multiplayer mode, alongside the launch of the Folkrace DLC, an expansion designed to enrich the single-player experience with fresh content.

The Folkrace DLC will bring a variety of new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges into the game. Players will be able to participate in dynamic racing events, earn in-game rewards, and customize their vehicles for maximum performance and style—giving them the edge needed to conquer every track.

In a major shift for the title, the upcoming multiplayer update will initially debut via Steam’s Experimental Branch. This early access approach allows players to get hands-on with the new mode and provide valuable feedback during the testing phase. The development team is especially eager to collaborate with the modding community, as planned API updates will enable mod creators to adapt their mods for use in multiplayer environments.

For Tuxedo Labs, multiplayer has always been a long-term vision—and now, it's finally becoming a reality. This feature has also been one of the most requested additions from fans, making this announcement a milestone moment for the game's growing community.

At launch, the multiplayer functionality will be available through the Experimental branch on Steam, giving players the chance to explore and test its capabilities. Alongside this release, the updated API tools will ensure that existing mods can be smoothly integrated into multiplayer sessions. Once the testing phase concludes and all systems are verified, multiplayer will transition into a full, supported feature of the game.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs shared that two additional major DLC expansions are currently in development. More details about these future content drops are expected to be revealed later in 2025, promising even more depth and replayability for fans of [ttpp].
