Subway Surfers Celebrates 13 Years With Global Tour

Subway Surfers is marking its 13th anniversary this month, and SYBO has prepared a spectacular worldwide celebration for players. Starting May 12th, join the globetrotting marathon as Subway Surfers commemorates this milestone.

The Journey Returns to Its Roots!

The anniversary kicks off in Copenhagen - where it all began. The special 13th-year update introduces fresh content in the Danish capital before launching an exciting new daily city-hopping challenge.

Players can dash through Copenhagen before unlocking up to 21 additional international destinations including Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. Collect World Tour suitcase tokens in each location to progress through this global adventure.

This update marks the 200th destination in Subway Surfers' World Tour series, which has been showcasing global cities since 2013. Currently, players can experience Osaka's Golden Week celebrations featuring vibrant neon lights and traditional Japanese elements.

Two new characters join the roster: Saru (available through Season Challenges) and Oni Hime (via special offer). The update also introduces new social features including Player Names and Friend Lists. Take a look at the preview below.

Since its May 23, 2012 launch, Subway Surfers has amassed 150 million monthly players and surpassed four billion downloads worldwide. After visiting 199 cities across 12 years, the game continues to unite players through beautifully rendered global locations.

From May 12th to June 1st, players can enjoy special anniversary bonuses including two travel-themed characters (Loc and Stevie), new outfits, hoverboards, and exclusive rewards.
