After two failed launches and months of anticipation, Rune Slayer has arrived, and it's fantastic! While incredibly fun, the game has a steep learning curve, especially for MMORPG newcomers. Fear not, this guide will help you conquer your Rune Slayer journey.

These are tips we wish we'd known starting out—they would have made things much smoother.
Don't Randomly Attack Other Players
Screenshot by The EscapistInitial concerns about Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP proved largely unfounded. Death doesn't mean losing your items—you simply respawn and continue. However, attacking players incurs a bounty. The more kills, the larger your bounty, and the more loot you drop upon your own demise. Essentially, full-loot PvP is self-inflicted. Unless you have a strategic reason (or a group for backup), avoid attacking other players.
Craft Bags Immediately
Screenshot by The EscapistYou'll quickly discover severely limited bank and inventory space. Fortunately, you can craft bags! Equip up to two at once, starting with the Cotton Bag. Obtain Cotton north of Wayshire and Flax south (be cautious of the southern mobs). Each Cotton Bag adds 10 slots—craft them ASAP.
Your Pets Don't Actually Die
Screenshot by The EscapistContrary to popular belief, your pets don't perish when their health reaches zero. Instead, they become unavailable for five minutes. Check the cooldown by holding T. After five minutes, resummon them by holding T again. Bonus: Quickly heal your pet by storing and retrieving it at the stable master (you have one free slot).
Accept Every Quest
Screenshot by The Escapist Rune Slayer boasts a plethora of quests, mostly unremarkable "kill X" tasks. To simplify things, accept every quest you encounter, including those from the job board. Often, multiple quests can be completed simultaneously.
Craft Everything at Least Once

Join a Guild
While Rune Slayer is solo-friendly, tougher enemies require group efforts. Guilds provide the easiest way to find groups. Look for guilds via general chat or the official Rune Slayer Discord.
