Mortal Kombat Mobile welcomes back the iconic guest character, Spawn!
This latest addition to the mobile fighting game roster features Spawn in his Mortal Kombat 11 design, created by Todd McFarlane. He's not alone; the MK1 version of Kenshi is also joining the fray shortly. This update also boasts three brand-new Friendship finishers and a brutal Brutality.
Spawn, the anti-heroic vigilante with terrifying supernatural abilities, is a fan-favorite character who first appeared in Mortal Kombat 11. His inclusion in Mortal Kombat Mobile is sure to excite fans of both franchises. The character's origin story involves a murdered soldier striking a deal with the Devil, granting him powers that could potentially usher in the Apocalypse. Spawn, a creation of Todd McFarlane and a cornerstone character for Image Comics, has long been a highly sought-after guest character in the Mortal Kombat series.
New Content and Challenges
Alongside Spawn and the updated Kenshi, players can conquer new Hellspawn dungeons. The update is available now on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
While some may dismiss the mobile version, the addition of Spawn is a significant win for many Mortal Kombat and Spawn enthusiasts.
A Bittersweet Victory?
Unfortunately, we received news just before publishing that the entire NetherRealm Studios mobile team has reportedly been laid off. This unfortunately casts a shadow over Spawn's arrival, potentially marking the end of this team's contributions to Mortal Kombat Mobile.
