Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Rank Reset?

Author: Michael Mar 12,2025

The upcoming major update for Marvel Rivals has sparked some confusion regarding a potential rank reset. While many games reset ranks at the start of each season, giving players a fresh start, Marvel Rivals initially planned a mid-season reset for Season 1 on February 21, 2025. This decision, coinciding with the release of The Thing and Human Torch, was met with significant negative feedback from the community.

In response to player concerns, NetEase Games announced a change of plans. The mid-season rank reset has been canceled. Players will retain their current ranks and scores. To earn new rewards, players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet specific conditions by the end of the season. These rewards include a new Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor with unique designs for Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All ranks.

This decision demonstrates NetEase's responsiveness to player feedback. Maintaining existing ranks provides top-tier players with more time to compete at the highest level and showcases the developer's commitment to community engagement.
