Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue during its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by a staggering 40 times, highlighting its immense popularity. Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), the game launched in December 2024 and quickly captivated players worldwide. The impressive revenue stems from robust in-app purchases of cosmetic items, outfits, and other game features.

The game's enchanting Miraland setting invites players to accompany Nikki and her cat, Momo, on a whimsical adventure through diverse nations, each with unique cultures. While styling Nikki is central, her outfits possess magical powers crucial for solving puzzles and progressing through the story. These outfits, powered by Whimstars, allow Nikki to perform actions like floating and shrinking, adding a unique gameplay element.

Boasting 30 million pre-registrations, Infinity Nikki made a significant splash in the cozy open-world genre even before its official release. Data from AppMagic (via Pocket Gamer) reveals a strong launch week with $3.51 million in revenue, followed by $4.26 million and $3.84 million in the subsequent weeks. While weekly revenue decreased to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million within the first month. This dwarfs Love Nikki's first-month revenue of $383,000 and significantly outperforms Shining Nikki's $6.2 million international debut in 2021.

China Plays a Pivotal Role

Infinity Nikki's success is largely attributed to its strong performance in China, where it garnered over 5 million downloads, accounting for over 42% of its total downloads. This underscores China's crucial role in the game's financial triumph.

Post-Launch Performance and Updates

Initial daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, subsequently declining but remaining strong at $787,000 by December 18th. A dip below $500,000 on December 21st and a low of $141,000 on December 26th were followed by a remarkable surge to $665,000 on December 30th, thanks to the Version 1.1 update.
