Mastering the Lady Vengeance: A Divinity: Original Sin 2 Ship Sailing Guide

Having escaped Fort Joy and removed your Source collar, your journey in Divinity: Original Sin 2 continues aboard the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance. This guide will help you navigate the puzzle of getting the ship underway. The key is to find Magister Dallis's cabin and the Ancient Empire Songbook within.

Investigating the Ship's Deck:

Begin by thoroughly examining the bodies of the magisters and gheists on deck. A Sodden Diary on one of the corpses contains a password crucial for accessing a stateroom. You can also attempt a skill check with the northern stateroom door to obtain the password. A Strange Gem, necessary to interact with the portside stateroom door, must also be found. A magic mirror nearby allows for respeccing characters.

Accessing the Portside Stateroom:

Use the password from the diary to unlock the portside stateroom. Before doing so, locate Bishop Alexander (west of the cabin) and examine his regalia to acquire the Strange Gem. Interact with the southern stateroom door, using the gem and the password ("Fortitude") to gain entry. Inside Magister Dallis's cabin, you'll find a hidden hatch containing gheists and a Teleportation Prism.

Locating the Ancient Empire Songbook:

Inside Dallis's cabin, speak with Tarquin and exhaust Dallis's dialogue options. The Ancient Empire Songbook rests on a pedestal; reading it will reveal the song needed to sail the ship. Recruit companions and speak to all NPCs before moving the ship, as opportunities will be lost once underway.

Setting Sail:

Return to the deck and inform Malady of your discovery. She'll request you sing the song. Locate the dragon figurine to the west and interact with it, choosing the option to sing. Lady Vengeance will respond, and your journey can continue. Be prepared for a challenging battle with magisters immediately following.
