Machine Yearning: A Brain-Bending Robot Job Simulation
Tiny Little Keys, an American game studio founded by a former Google Machine Learning Engineer, is launching its debut title, Machine Yearning, on September 12th. This unique game challenges players to perform tasks typically reserved for robots, testing their memory and processing speed in a quirky, hat-collecting adventure.
The core gameplay revolves around associating words with shapes, gradually increasing in difficulty by introducing more words and colors, demanding players retain complex pairings. Success unlocks a variety of stylish hats for your in-game robots, ranging from archer hats to cowboy hats and straw hats.
Originally showcased at Ludum Dare, a prominent indie game jam, Machine Yearning earned accolades for its fun and innovative gameplay. The game’s premise is deceptively simple: can you outsmart a CAPTCHA designed to identify humans? The experience is designed to push your cognitive abilities, playfully aiming to upgrade your mental processing power to at least a 2005-level standard.
